Car of The Month February 2023

This 1965 Mustang Convertible has been with the same owner since April 1977. The car was used as a daily driver through the owner’s high school years in Kansas City, college in Dallas, graduate school in Austin, and even briefly in initial working days at IBM.

At that point it became a garaged weekend fun car. A total restoration was begun in September 2016 and completed in January 2017 through the combined efforts of Cedar Valley Motors and Quality Auto Body. The engine was removed while the body was stripped to bare metal, straightened and painted.

The color, Ford Vintage Burgundy, is original. The interior was totally redone once body and engine work were completed.

The options on the car – including four-speed transmission, factory A/C, 14” styled steel wheels, Rally Pac, deluxe steering wheel, and even the rare fender skirts – are all original.
